Okay so first of all: Meryl Streep. And really I think that's all that needs to be said. But also I love how this film explores the judgments and stereotypes we all have and how painful it is when we discover we have (even temporarily) become what we abhor. (and also: great clothes!)

Like a great poem, this film bears many, many viewings, and each time one discovers more interesting interconnections between the parts.
There are so many great performances in this film. Perhaps the most extraordinary is Nicole Kidman as Woolf!
