probably the basic story line here: a young nun-in-training -- who
finds her God on the Vienna hillsides rather than in the convent-- is
dispatched as a governess to an unruly brood of 7 children. After an
initial period of resistance on all sides, Maria finally wins over the
kids and their uptight father (and in the process her own heart is
transformed).
Plus, Julie Andrews. What's not to love?
